In Chicago @Vintage Design Mart
At Vintage Design Mart, in my hometown of Chicago where I live and work, I maintain a curated, continually evolving collection of vintage jewelry and small objects. Each piece reflects the textures, forms and stories that inform my studio work, offering visitors a chance to experience these materials up close and personally.
A small, dedicated rotating art wall features my original artworks, creating a personal mini-gallery within the space.
The collection includes:
- Vintage necklaces, bracelets, rings, and earrings, thoughtfully curated for their material, form, and history
- Select designer and statement pieces
- Beaded and sculptural jewelry
- Original pieces created or reimagined by Mary Lou, including necklaces, bracelets, and earrings crafted from vintage findings or reworked materials
- A small assortment of vintage objects and decorative pieces
- Each piece - whether sourced or reimagined - reflects the same sensibility that guides my studio work, creating a cohesive, ever-evolving experience for visitors.
