Yoga

Yoga is not separate from my art — it informs it. Movement has taught me patience and balance has taught me trust, shaping how I create and how I show up in the world. While my primary work is as an artist, teaching remains a meaningful way I stay connected to my body and my community. I invite you to explore my class offerings.

"On the mat or out on the water, movement has taught me balance, confidence, and resilience. What began as yoga in studios led to teaching on paddleboards, and these sessions — whether indoors or outside — continue to deepen how I create, breathe and connect. "

Movement

Movement has always been part of how I understand the world. Long before my artwork found its voice, yoga was already shaping how I lived, breathed, and paid attention. Teaching yoga became a way to share that grounding presence with my community — a practice that continues to inform both my creative life and my relationship to others.

I offer small, intentional yoga classes and private stand-up paddleboard (SUP) sessions that focus on strength, balance and connection. These experiences are not about performance or perfection. They are about listening, building confidence, and finding ease in the body — whether on the mat or on the water.

Yoga at The Nest – Park Ridge

Yoga at The Nest is an intimate, welcoming practice space located in Park Ridge. Classes are small by design, allowing for personal attention, thoughtful sequencing, and a supportive atmosphere.

My teaching style is steady, accessible, and grounded in years of experience.

Classes emphasize:

  • Functional strength and mobility

  • Breath awareness and nervous system regulation

  • Clear alignment cues without rigidity

  • A calm, encouraging pace

Students often describe these classes as both strengthening and deeply centering. Whether you are newer to yoga or returning to your practice, you’ll find space here to move with confidence and care.

SUP Sessions on Lake Michigan

Teaching yoga on the water is where movement, nature, and presence meet most vividly. SUP sessions take place seasonally on Lake Michigan and are offered as private or small-group experiences. You don’t need prior paddleboarding experience — sessions are tailored to your comfort level and focus just as much on balance, awareness, and enjoyment as they do on technique.

SUP sessions include:

  • Basic paddleboarding skills and safety

  • Private classes how to paddleboard with your dog "SUP with your pup"

  • Finding awareness and calm, in a safe environment

  • Choose from one of two locations, Chicago or Highland Park.

Being on the water invites a different kind of attention. The subtle movement beneath the board naturally builds strength & focus while offering a sense of play and freedom that’s hard to replicate anywhere else.

Booking & Sessions

SUP sessions are booked through my scheduling portal and offered based on availability.

Whether you’re looking for a steady weekly practice, a private experience on the lake, or something entirely new, you’re welcome here.
